Beasts

Beasts used to be a collectible curiosity. They are now a system that decides fights. Beast buffs transfer to your whole marching queue, and beast power shows in battle reports for both sides.

The system was reworked twice in quick succession — August 27 and September 3, 2026 — so any guide written before that is describing a different game. What follows reflects the post-rework state.

The short version

  1. Unlocks at Basecamp 18. First hatch takes about 14 hours (BEST GUESS 024).
  2. Beasts carry factions — match them to your queue's faction.
  3. Bank hatch speed-ups for the Thursday-to-Friday orange rate-up window.
  4. Level with EXP items; every 10 levels needs Breakthrough Items to raise the cap.
  5. Target setup per queue: a gold beast at 8 stars, aided by a purple beast of the same faction at 8 stars.
  6. You cannot aid a gold beast with another gold beast.
  7. Push the Beast Battlefield — it generates levelling materials around the clock.

The three buildings

All on the right side of your outpost, plus a beast entrance on the main interface added in the rework so you no longer have to hunt for the right building.

Beast Management — your roster and the gateway to the Battlefield. View power, faction, star level, abilities; level and star up from here. Buffs hatching resource cost and Beast Crystal hatching cost. A redeem screen shows every beast in the game and lets you buy them with purple fruits, earned by releasing beasts.

Beast Mine Cave — the Beast Crystal source. Building level raises the collection limit, cuts collection time per crystal, and reduces gathering cost. Has a Collect All feature. Keep it running and keep it upgraded; it is passive income.

Beast Hatchery — hatch beasts from beast eggs, dropped by world map monsters, plus Beast Crystals. Building level raises hatching speed and adds hatchery nests. Beast Eggs became purchasable in the Beast Shop on September 10, 2026.

The hatching trick: once the timer passes a certain point the game reveals which beast you are getting. If you do not want it, cancel and restart. Far better use of eggs than accepting whatever appears.

Levelling, after the rework

Beasts start at Level 1. Pre-rework levels were converted to five times their old value, so old screenshots showing low numbers are not comparable.

Level with EXP items. Every 10 levels you hit a cap and need Breakthrough Items to raise it.

Razor Fangs and Resilient Scales were retired and exchanged for Breakthrough Items, with remainders converted to Diamonds. In practice many players reported receiving mostly gold and Feral Cores instead.

Conflict flagged

Video guides from the intermediate period describe levelling with "beast meat" and breaking caps with "fangs and feral energy cores". That was the state between the two reworks. Current terminology is EXP items plus Breakthrough Items. See BEST GUESS 023.

The star gate on levelling was lowered to 3 stars in the May 28, 2026 patch. Older guides say star 7 is required before a beast can be levelled at all — that is out of date, though star 7+ still matters for star exchange and star 8 for aiding. See BEST GUESS 004.

Above 4 stars, beasts gain sub-levels between star levels, each adding stats, so progress is more granular than the star count suggests.

Same-rarity beasts above 7 stars can exchange star levels, which is the mechanism for consolidating a spare into your main.

Beasts can be locked to prevent accidental release or consumption. Do this on anything you care about.

Maximum beasts owned: 1,500, raised September 10, 2026.

Purple and Blue beast stats were increased in the rework, which makes them more viable than the older "only gold matters" advice suggested.

Aiding Beasts — get this right

The intended setup:

  1. Get a gold (orange) beast of your main faction to 8 stars.
  2. Get a purple beast of the same faction to 8 stars.
  3. Assign the purple one as the Aiding Beast.

You cannot use a gold beast as the aiding beast for another gold beast. This was confirmed by two players from experience, correcting an earlier wrong answer that circulated widely — including in video guides claiming you can aid one legendary with a different legendary. Whether the underlying rule is rarity-based or species-based was still being argued, with rarity the better-supported reading.

This is the practical reason to build a second, purple beast rather than chasing a second gold one.

The Beast Battlefield

Structurally the same as the hero adventure path. Deploy a lineup, clear stages, fight stage bosses.

Stage rewards are levelling materials. Offline income rises the deeper you have cleared and runs around the clock, so pushing deeper permanently raises your passive material income.

Edit your lineup between challenges and lead with your strongest beasts.

Rapid harvest: an orange fruit collects a 12-hour harvest in one tap. Fruits come from the Beast Weekly Card and the diamond shop.

You can also aid alliance members with a beast, or borrow theirs to fight alongside yours.

Where else beasts are deployable

Adventure, Arena, Earthcore Express, Detection, Champ Clash (added July 23, 2026), and the Beast Battlefield. Battle reports show both sides' beast power.

The beast economy

Beast Shop — spend Beast Badges, earned from Entombed Solpolis (see Entombed Solpolis), on EXP items, Breakthrough Items, Hatch Speedups, and since September 10, 2026, Beast Eggs.

Orange Beast Hatch Rate UP runs Thursday through Friday every week — widened from Thursday-only on September 3, 2026. Save your hatch speed-ups and eggs for this window. It is the single best free lever on beast quality.

Beast Weekly Card — unlocks at Basecamp 25. Since September 10, 2026 it includes one-tap hatch/claim and one-tap gather of Beast Source Crystals. Widely rated worth buying if you are running the battlefield.

Star-up costs in Beast Crystals (one player's screenshots, unverified):

  • to 8 stars — around 240,000
  • to 9 stars — around 690,000
  • to 10 stars — around 1,700,000

Beast research

A beast branch in the research lab covering extra hatching slots and extra crystal mine cave slots, plus building output. A late-game branch, but its nodes are considerably cheaper than the Combat branch's, so it is efficient once available. See Tech Research.

The paid beast — Armored Tricera

An orange Warrior beast introduced with Summer Revelry (announced August 26, 2026, first round August 30 for servers 1–17), obtainable from the Summer shop.

What it offers (BEST GUESS 039 covers the price): it unlocks already at star level 7, so nothing is wasted making it usable; it has a counter-attack ability no other beast has (up to 300% damage per counter); and slightly better maxed-star stats than the gold panther. Its other abilities, talent stats and level-up stats are identical.

Verdict: marginally the strongest beast. One player reported needing to spend at least $300 in the summer shop to reach it, and over $500 for the beast plus every event cosmetic — that figure comes from a single player and is not corroborated by the official announcement. Unless you were spending in that event anyway, a maxed gold panther is very nearly the same beast.

Named Warrior beasts mentioned in community chat: Phantom Panther, Craghorn Bull, Rockshell Crab.

Common mistakes

Mismatching beast and queue factions. Free buff, ignored.

Trying to aid gold with gold. It does not work. Build a purple to 8 stars instead.

Accepting every hatch. Cancel and restart once the reveal shows something you do not want.

Hatching outside the Thursday–Friday window. Same eggs, much worse odds.

Not locking your good beasts. Accidental release is permanent.

Letting the Mine Cave sit uncollected. It is passive income with a Collect All button.

Ignoring the Battlefield. It generates your levelling materials continuously. Depth is permanent income.
