Two PvP modes where your troops are never at risk. Both use system-provided or locked lineups, so there are no losses. If you have been avoiding PvP because of the casualties, these are where you should be.

And the Arena shop sells one orange gear piece per week — the most reliable free orange gear source in the game.

Part 1 — Arena

The short version

  1. Enter from the Arena building. Two ladders: Contender (single-server) and Summit (cross-server).
  2. Contender supplies T7 system troops (changed from T10 on September 10, 2026).
  3. Summit is for the top 200 players by Personal Power per server.
  4. Buy the weekly orange gear piece from the Arena shop. Every week, without fail.
  5. Your own troop tier affects Summit power — below T10 reduces it.

Contender Matches

Single-server ladder. The system provides T7 troops, lowered from T10 on September 10, 2026.

Because troops are supplied, your placement comes down to heroes, gear, beasts and research rather than army size. This makes the Arena a decent read on whether your queue-building is actually sound — see Heroes, Factions and Queues.

Summit Matches

Cross-server, launched June 1, 2026 for servers 1 to 7.

  • Entry is the top 200 players by Personal Power on your server.
  • Summit players cannot also join the concurrent Contender season. It is one or the other.
  • Summit provides T7 troops by default, or your own if higher.
  • Your highest troop tier affects Summit power, and being below T10 reduces it.

That last rule is the one to plan around: if you are pushing into Summit, getting to T10 is not optional — it is a direct power modifier, not just a nice-to-have.

The Arena shop — do not skip this

One orange gear piece per week. Given that the only other free orange source is a 0.25% drop from Hero Gear Lucky Chests, this is the single most dependable gear progression available to a non-spending account. See Hero Gear.

Set a weekly reminder if you need to.

Notes

  • Beasts are deployable in the Arena.
  • Arena defence battles no longer count toward challenge mission progress (August 6, 2026), so do not expect defensive wins to move your dailies.
  • Arena challenge rewards scale with Basecamp level.

Part 2 — Champ Clash

What it is: a week-long 1v1 tournament, cross-server. The headline: battles do not consume troops or heroes. There are no losses.

The short version

  1. Register Monday to Tuesday.
  2. Qualifiers Wednesday — top 64 advance.
  3. Knockouts Thursday — 64 into 8 groups, one per group advances.
  4. Finals Friday to Sunday at 12:00.
  5. Lineups lock 15 minutes before each round. Set them early.
  6. Unclaimed qualifier rewards are auto-mailed.

The format

Registration — Monday to Tuesday.

Qualifiers — Wednesday. Multiple 1v1s, ranked by total wins. Top 64 advance, with a top-32-per-server split. The tiebreaker is total surviving troop percentage across all 3 queues — which means margin matters, not just the win. Do not coast a match you are winning comfortably; preserve troops across every queue.

Knockouts — Thursday. 64 players in 8 groups, with cross-server protection separating top players, one advancing per group. 64→32 and 32→16 are best-of-one; 16→8 is best-of-three.

Finals — Friday to Sunday, 12:00. Top 8 and semi-finals best-of-three; grand final best-of-five.

What to actually do

Set your lineups early. They lock 15 minutes before each round. A locked-out lineup is a forfeited round, and the schedule runs across four days so it is easy to miss one.

Lineup stats auto-sync on entry, so upgrades you make before the lock are counted.

Play the tiebreaker. Surviving troop percentage across all three queues separates equal records in qualifiers. That argues for three balanced queues rather than one monster and two sacrifices — which is a rare case where the usual "build two queues" advice is worth bending.

Beasts became deployable July 23, 2026. Include them.

Because nothing dies here, there is no reason not to enter. Even a first-round exit costs you nothing but the registration.

Common mistakes

Skipping the weekly Arena orange gear purchase. The most reliable free gear in the game.

Sitting out Champ Clash to protect troops. Nothing is consumed. There is no risk to protect against.

Missing a lineup lock. Fifteen minutes before each round, across four days.

Ignoring the surviving-troops tiebreaker. Winning ugly can cost you a qualifier spot.

Pushing Summit while stuck below T10. Your troop tier is a direct power modifier there.
